WARRANTY / AFTERCARE
We can provide manufacturer warranties/guarantees for the products used upon request. TLM cannot guarantee line marking will last a specific amount of time as this is site-specific and can vary greatly depending on wear and tear, traffic, weather, surface, etc. As a rule: Thermoplastic paint – the most common product used on roads, highways and tarmac surfaces – usually lasts several years in average conditions. It can be applied over itself without needing to be removed unless it is over 7mm thick or flaking off. MMA – Typically used externally in heavy traffic areas where paint or thermoplastic are not heavy-duty enough. This can outlast the surface in quiet car parks and will outperform paint and thermoplastic by up to 10 times longer in high-wear areas such as lorry parks.
WHAT ARE THE PAINT DRYING TIMES?
These are variables dependent on the type of paint, surface, weather conditions, etc. As a guide, surfaces can be trafficked after approximately: Thermoplastic – 10 mins. MMA – 20 mins. Single pack epoxy/standard paint – 1-4 hours.
