Total Line Marking’s Role in the Design Process
When the description reads, “Vibrant colours and extravagant designs to make the area more aesthetic,” you know the project is going to be an exciting one. The printed water design by HATO certainly met those criteria, and we were delighted to help bring the concept to life. After some consultation, Total Line Marking was booked to hydro blast, clean with a road sweeper, prime, and then set out the decals, ready for intricate line painting. The project involved over two thousand meters of tape to achieve the desired level of detail.
Preparing the Area for Transformation
Total Line Marking played a significant role in the design process of this project, as our expertise in applying paint to tarmac enabled us to advise on which ideas would work best on the ground. Furthermore, we were tasked with carrying the theme throughout the surrounding stone benches and the floor. Although road marking is our speciality, we can seamlessly take on additional aspects of a project to ensure everything aligns perfectly with the line painting.
The Line Painting Process and Paint Application
To prepare the area, Total Line Marking first removed the existing line painting using ultra-high-pressure (UHP) hydroblasting. We then thoroughly cleaned the area with our road sweepers and jet washed until the surface was spotless. Next, we set out nearly 500 sqm of chalk lines to create intricate graphics. These designs were brought to life using three coats of anti-slip, high-wear road marking paint.
A Stunning Transformation Achieved
In conclusion, the O2 Arena in Greenwich has been transformed into a visually stunning space, thanks to the vibrant colors and elaborate designs achieved through our line painting services.
